Scott started jumping in 2011 in Northern California. From day one he dreamed of canopy piloting but, initially, he focused on freeflying. Northern California has a distinguished history of bigway and sequential freeflying, so Scott gravitated towards those sub-disciplines. He was fortunate enough to have incredible mentors who pushed him and helped open doors to high-level camps and events. Scott also started working as an indoor skydiving instructor, further providing him opportunities to develop his skills. He has competed as an MFS videographer since 2015 on teams "Hard Points", "Sexy Chocolate Chip" and "Super Serious" - placing 5th (Advanced), 3rd (Open) and 3rd (Open). He is looking forward to adding onto his competition experience as "Super Serious" moves to 4way VFS this 2018 season. In 2018 Scott will also be chasing his dream of being a member of the vertical world record team.
While Scott was learning to freefly he also pushed himself into the CP world but wasn't able to compete until the 2017 season. After a year filled with coaching, training, and dedication; he placed 4th overall in the Advanced class at USPA Nationals, with a Gold in the speed event. It was this experience, along with the FLCPA season, that cemented Canopy Piloting as a top discipline in his mind and he is looking forward to learning all that he can as a competitor and member of Control Tower.
Outside of competition, Scott works as an instructor at this home dropzone - Skydive California. As an AFF-I and TI, he's provided the opportunity to pass on his knowledge of the sport while meeting students from all over the world and different walks of life. He is also entering the XRW world as both a canopy pilot and wingsuiter. Outside of skydiving he is pursuing a career as a firefighter.
